July CodeAway Recap

July was another great CodeAway meeting - so good I forgot to even grab pictures. The afternoon started with a deep discussion of Vista’s flaws, Linux, and Mac OS’s (sometime) overcompensation. Then one attendee showed off an OSCommerance implementation he was working on and we discussed the pros and cons of different payment gateways. The group then splintered as the pizza arrived; I showed off recent Adobe AIR development and discussed jQuery while others settled into Python programming. Then it was off to the Facebook developers page while others began broke out the PS2 Guitar Hero game.

All in all it was a great session. Our August event is still in the works and - when we’ve got a date - we’ll post it here.
