I found out about the Social Media Dev Garage on the day of the event. I’m not a developer. I categorize myself as a content generator, but I was able to learn a lot at the Dev Garage. Jeff Barr spoke and told us all about Amazon.com’s S3 and EC2 products. I knew that they had servers and storage programs, but I didn’t realize how accessible they are. If you get a chance to hear Jeff Barr speak, take the time to go, because he’s awesome.

After the technical talk, we played with Rock Band. I snapped some photos:

I truly believe that play is just as important as work, especially when you are self-employed. We did a little of both that night!
